Ingredients:
- Brown Sugar: Appropriate amount
- Jiuniang: 3 spoonfuls
- Egg: 1
- Goji Berries & Red Dates: A few
Steps:
- Add water to a pot and bring to a boil over low heat.
- Crack in the egg; you can cook it as a poached egg or stir it into egg drops.
- Add brown sugar and stir until melted.
- Add jiuniang, red dates, and goji berries. Simmer on low heat for another 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- Turn off the heat, serve, and enjoy.
Tips:
- Do not cook jiuniang for too long, otherwise it easily turns sour and the alcohol flavor fades.
- If you prefer a thicker consistency, you can add a small amount of starch slurry to thicken.
- Especially warming for menstrual periods or during autumn and winter.
